Complement Your Tea With Tasty Green Tea Desserts

Well, if you have not tried any green tea flavored sweet dish, then probably you have not tried the best sweet dish ever.

I used the word 'best' here for the reason that green tea is already known for its numerous health benefits which also include cancer prevention. This makes green tea desserts among the most healthy sweet dishes.

We, at Assamica Agro, are working hard to provide you the best quality tea products along with some new ideas of enjoying those products. In this article, you will learn about the benefits of green tea flavored sweet dishes and their simple recipes. You may know that vanilla ice cream is made from vanilla essence. Similarly, we use green tea powder or loose green tea leaves in these desserts. The best thing about loose green tea leaves is that it contain more antioxidants and medicinal properties than dust or fanning used in regular green tea bags.

The sweet dishes made from green tea leaves are from hundreds of years old Japanese traditions. To keep those traditions alive, we offer the finest quality loose green tea leaves at competitive rates which you can use in the recipes we will learn here. Now let’s move on to some simple recipes of green tea desserts which are perfect for any special occasion or even for your evening tea.

Green Tea Cookies

Ingredients:
  1. ¾ cup powdered sugar
  2. 1 ½ tablespoon pure green tea leaves
  3. ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (room temperature)
  4. 3 egg yolks
  5. 1 ¾ cups of all purpose flour
  6. Pinch Salt
  7. Sugar for dusting (optional)
Procedure:

The procedure is same as baking simple cookies but here the difference is of using green tea leaves instead of peanut, caramel or cocoa. So, first of all, you have to mix sugar, green tea leaves, butter and beat them all together until the mixture turns smooth and spinach green in color. Then add egg yolks and again beat it well. Now at the end, add the remaining ingredients in the mixture and mix them well. Make sure your oven is pre-heated. Grease the cookies lightly and bake them in microwave. The time for which you need to bake depends on size of the cookies. Once baked, you may decorate them with sugar or any other topping you like.

Green Tea Sponge cake

This cake is perfect for diet cautious people and especially for those who love to have something sweet with their evening tea. The recipe we are going to share is for 6 people serving and it is quite similar to the recipe of making simple sponge cake.

Ingredients:
  1. 3 egg whites
  2. 120 grams sugar
  3. 3 egg yolks
  4. 100 grams cake flour
  5. 9 grams green tea leaves
  6. 50 ml milk
  7. 30 grams butter (margarine can also be used)
Preparation Method:

The method starts from simply taking a bowl and electric beater to mix the ingredients. For the first few minutes, mix flour, egg whites and green tea powder. When the mixture becomes fluffy, add egg yolks along with butter (it should be at around 50 degree Celsius). Do not mix after adding butter. Just put the mixture in baking pan and then in preheated oven to cook it.
